The first track
- The theme of the first track is ‘The Town for The Elderly’. The site is the Tianmao Village in Linwei District, Weinan. Designer needs to propose innovative renovation
Solutions of the original Tianmao Village, including the whole village space and its surrounding lands for agriculture and forestry uses (botanical garden).
Consideration of
the future operation of the town is necessary. The aim of this village renovation program remains to meet the needs of the elderly. Design scheme could include the
interior design of the selected sample residence, signage guiding system, and accessible design etc., for the sake of convenience, safety, comfort, visual and aesthetic
appreciation of the elderly. (Detailed site information can be downloaded from the official website)
The second track
- 1. Cultural and creative product design. Participants need to design cultural and creative products in combination with the local culture and characteristics of Weinan,
Linwei, such as Qinyuan black-pottery, Qiaoniang straw plaited articles, handwoven cloth, cloth shoes, and of these sorts of local featured products and elements. We
accept characters design, VI design, cultural and creative illustrations, product package design, Weinan gift box design, souvenirs design, etc.
2. Elderly-friendly product design. Participants need to design products in consideration of the needs of the elderly, of which categories can include but not limited to
daily supplies, care service product, cultural & entertainment product, intelligent equipment, food, and cloth etc.
3. Participants can form the innovative integration scheme with their own private labels or brands at home or abroad under such brand suitable for senior citizens
through the design competition of creative products. Participants can integrate the cultural concept of the elderly into the products through packaging design, product
form design, operation scheme design and brand marketing planning, etc.
*The brands selected must be authorized by the brand owner.
The third track
- Silver economy cannot develop without the booming of the tertiary industry. The themed service industry is the guarantee of the quality of towns for seniors. For
example, the family-run lodging-themed traditional Chinese medicine aesthetics, plant healing schools, workshops for senior citizens, health preservation and food
therapy restaurants, etc. will greatly promote the rich diversity of the town and will form the uniqueness and differentiation. (such as Shangyitang, Zhuo Ye Cottage and
other operating brands)

응모방법

The first track
1. Includes but not limited to master plan of the whole town, enlarged plan showing the important part, architectural and interior floor plans, elevations, sections, three-dimensional drawing, analyses diagrams, and any other materials that can fully present your design ideas. (There is no specific requirement on layout. Physical model and amination video are optional.)
2. Presentation sheets, pictures and technical drawings etc. need to submit as JPG. the accuracy should not be less than 150dpi
3. The participants are required to submit the design sketches, working photos and other materials of the creative process (the pictures should be in JPG format and the accuracy should not be less than 150dpi).
4. The participants could adopt varieties of means to present design schemes; there is no restriction on work expression. Participant could decide the scale of drawings.
5. A copy of the design description in WORD format on A4 paper, not exceeding 500 words

The second track

2. Design scheme (PPT or PDF): Product design concept, overall scheme, product implementation,team/company profile,implementation plan, promotion scheme,
cost calculation, etc.;
3. Participants are required to submit the design sketches, working photos and other materials of the creative process (the pictures should be in JPG format and the
accuracy should not be less than 150dpi).
4. Optional submission: Video (2-4 min). In order to better present the work, the participants can submit a short video, including the appearance of team members and
description of the design concept in combination with the display board. Forms unlimited. The video format should better be MPEG, MP4 or AVI.
The third track
1. Registration form (download from the official website).
2. Research & study/experience products: Works such as nature education, outdoor sports, research & study of seniors. Participants need to submit the PPT of product
operation proposal, with picture and text included, as well as financial calculation.
3. Long-term operation products: participants need to submit the project BP file, including topic statement, space creativity (design intention map is recommended),
market analysis, portraits of customers, local culture analysis, business model, financial calculation, etc.

Before submitting works, the participants shall carefully read, fully understand and agree the following terms.

In accordance with relevant laws and regulations of China, for “participants” or “authors” who submit the works voluntarily, the organizer shall deem that they have made the following irrevocable statement for the ownership of copyright of works submitted:

1. Statement of original
The participants’ works are original, without infringing on anyone’s any patent, copyright, trademark right or other intellectual property. The works have not been published in newspapers, magazines, websites and other medias, have not applied for patent or copyright registration, have not participated in other competitions and have not entered the business channels in any form.

2. Ownership of intellectual property
For the team that wins the first, second and third prize, the author will have the right of authorship and the organizer will have the copyright of works and may exercise other copyright rights besides the authorship. The copyright of finalist works of track 2, products for the elderly shall be owned by government and the participant. The team that fails to win the bonus, the author shall own the copyright of the works in accordance with copyright law and the organizer shall have the right to display and publicize the works.
